When Benetti delivered hull number one of its Oasis 40M, Rebeca, it quickly realized success. Thirteen additional hulls sold. More interestingly, other owners and crews kept taking pictures of the expansive and expandable aft deck. Benetti and RWD, the series designer, further quickly realized “this wasn’t just one yacht,” explains Andrew Collett of the studio. Thus the Benetti Oasis Deck is now a design feature behind a new, smaller Oasis model plus larger B.Now series superyachts.

Just as aboard the Oasis 40M, the Oasis Deck includes five key elements. First, it offers unrestricted 270-degree views from the edge of the saloon fully aft and to the sides. Second, it has a flush-deck, integrated pool near the water’s edge but still part of the social space. Third, fold-down bulwarks, a.k.a. wings, create a terrace-like deck area that’s additionally high enough to provide protection from waves. Fourth, both sunny and shaded sections accommodate guests all day. Lastly, the design is a cohesive social space from the saloon straight to the sea.

This overall less formal, more social, and even more youthful approach to living on the water translates well into the Oasis 34M (top), a new model, as well as design options for the B.Now 50M (above)  and B.Now 66M (below). In fact, three customers already have signed contracts for the 34M, measuring 111’5”. Despite the 34M’s smaller size and lower volume by 100 gross tons, all five above-mentioned Oasis Deck features appear. Furthermore, the Oasis 34M still has a side-loading tender garage. For even more continuity, the same interior designers from the 40M, Bonetti/Kozerski, are involved. However, to give the 34M her own relaxed ambience, the designers suggest lighter, fresher, and arguably more youthful tones and textures. Furthermore, situating the dining area on the upper deck maintains the more casual approach to living.

The Benetti Oasis Deck designs for the B.Now 50M and 66M are, of course, more expansive, and have more features. For the 164-foot B.Now 50M, for instance—of which six contracts are sold—a long, shaded bar sits on the forward-most Oasis level. Buyers also gain a gym and spa area below decks, doubling as stowage for kayaks, dive bottles, and other adventure-seeking gear. With the 66M, meanwhile, the pool becomes 16 feet wide (5 meters wide), and the entire Oasis Deck stretches 30 meters (98 feet) from the saloon entry to the water’s edge. “Nearly 50 percent of this yacht is Oasis,” asserts Collett.

Overall with the Benetti Oasis Deck, the fold-down wings alone provide 30 to 40 percent more usable space. Marco Valle, Azimut/Benetti Group’s CEO, concludes, “It’s easy to imagine a future where, for a growing number of superyacht owners, the essential onboard spaces will include the sun deck, upper deck, bridge deck, and the Oasis Deck.”
